A kiosk that knows who is standing at it
One iPad on the counter runs the whole shift. People identify themselves with a PIN, not by tapping their own name off a list — and a handed-out PIN has to be replaced before it can be used for real work.

Location, recorded honestly
Every punch is classified — verified, too far away, or no fix at all — and the accuracy circle is kept. A punch 160 metres out with 120 metres of accuracy might genuinely be inside, and we say so instead of calling it a lie.

The clock-out that asks for the closing routine
If a checklist is attached to the shift, clocking out asks for it. Finishing is the normal path; handing in incomplete is allowed but has to carry a reason, which is far more useful than a box someone ticked to get out of the door.
